• Keep in mind: maximum accuracy is 0.1 mm. If your tolerances are tighter, look at the Neo or Point II.

Artec Neo: Fast When You Need Speed, Precise When You Need Precision

• Strongest at: two modes in one scanner. According to Artec, it reaches 0.025 mm with markers and 0.050 mm without.
• Used for: mold inspection, comparing parts against CAD, first article inspection.
• Keep in mind: the highest accuracy requires placing markers on the part.

Artec Point II: Laser Scanning for Tight Tolerances

• Strongest at: according to Artec, accuracy up to 0.02 mm, with a dedicated mode for deep holes and narrow slots.
• Used for: molds, tolerance-based inspection, reverse engineering of discontinued spare parts.

• Used for: jewelry, dentistry, artifacts, very small parts.
• Keep in mind: objects up to 20 × 20 × 15 cm, and it is not meant for field use.

Artec Jet: Scan Large Spaces

• Strongest at: mobile LiDAR that needs no GPS, with a range of 0.5 to 300 m and IP65 dust and water protection. According to Artec, mapping accuracy is ±15 mm.
• Used for: plant renovation, mines, construction sites, as-built documentation.
• Keep in mind: it does not replace a scanner designed to measure mechanical parts.
