Process for applying 3D Scanning & 3D Printing technology?

Customers send samples to Scantech (for small samples). Scantech will bring 3D Scanning equipment to the customer’s workshop to scan (for large samples).

Scantech uses German or European 3D scanners to scan samples. (The higher the accuracy level of the scanner, the sharper the 3D data obtained will be from 0.018-0.1mm depending on the size of the sample to be scanned).

After scanning the 3D model, the data will be smoothed, customers can customize the size (big, small), correct the ratio to balance (for example, the statue’s head is bowed low, big or small, or skewed compared to the shoulder…)

Customers can 3D print to create molds for casting or process directly on wood or metal using CNC machines.

Are 3D scanned products at Scantech Vietnam always sharp and smooth?

We are using the world’s leading 3D Scanning and Printing machines. By combining many types of scanners (far & near), many types of lenses (big & small) for one product to obtain the sharpest 3D scanning data results. For large statues > 2m, we use a long-range scanner for the body with a sharpness of 0.1mm. For the face, hands, feet or small motifs, we use a close-range scanner with sharpness. Sharpness 0.05mm. For medium, small, and very small products (1cm), we use precision mechanical scanners with very high sharpness from 0.018mm. This is Scantech’s advantage and is the biggest benefit for customers that is difficult to meet with any sample scanning service unit.
